AbbPast is a historical society which meets roughly on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Parish Rooms (unless there is a site visit). Please see the Events Calendar for forthcoming events.

The aim is to discuss history, hear from and record first hand stories from the past and to review and share ancient village treasures such as archives and maps.

AbbPast was formed in 2011 & had a very successful first year. We are a history group that meet once a month - generally on 2nd Monday of the month but check the events calendar because this can change - in the Parish Rooms at 7.30pm. We arrange for invited speakers to come to talk to us on a variety of topices. We also go out on visits to historic sites. Annual membership is open to anyone, non-members may attend three meetings before joining, membership is £7 per year. In 2012 there is the possibility that we may be part of a community archaeology project.
