History There has been a school on the current site since 1876.

Number of Pupils Currently 76

Extra Curricular Activities: Music Club, netball, football, athletics, swimming, writers club,art, tai kwondo, homework club and Maypole dancing.

Residential Visits Children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 participate in a wide range of activities on these outside visits.

Sports Events Football, tag rugby, athletics and netball. Annual sports day.

Governors 14 governors. Governing board organised into 3 main committees: Finance & Personnel, Curriculum, Premises/ Heath & Safety

School Council Representatives elected from each age group.

Playtime Friends: Older children assist younger ones to help with any minor problems they may have.

Other items of interest School received a prestigious award at the Carlton TV Environmental Awards ceremony in October 2000.

Performances/Assemblies/Displays Regular music and drama performances. Parents invited to Class Assemblies and Praise Assemblies when their child is to receive a special mention. The children also perform at local venues within the village.

Visits and Visitors Children have attended various events such as theatre productions. Also visits have been received from the Local Police Liaison Officer, an African Drummer, Barn Owl Trust and Devon Beekeepers' Association. In the autumn it is hoped to have a Japanese cultural placement at the school for 3 months.

Pre-School Events The primary school has close links with the Abbotskerswell Pre-School. The group meets once a week and has the of use of school equipment.

Transfer to Secondary Education The school has well established links with Coombeshead College in nearby Newton Abbot. Some pupils transfer to other secondary schools including those in Torbay.
