History of the building
The earliest church on the site is likely to date from the late 10th century but the origins of the present building lie in the 13th century. Additions and remodellings have occurred over the years to meet the changing needs of an ever-developing population and church. The latest extensive remodelling took place in the 1880's.
Friends of St Mary's
Friends of St Mary's is a registered charity no. 1080907 of which the main aims are the maintenance of the church and churchyard and the maintenance and renewal of their contents.
Donations are invited on an annual basis, always making use of the Gift Aid scheme where possible. Legacies are especially welcome.
